The New World Alliance Adds Jacksonville as Port of Call
Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, 11 Jun, 2008 - The New World Alliance (TNWA) carriers – APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) – in partnership with CMA CGM, have announced the addition of Jacksonville, Florida, as a port of call on its ESX service.
TNWA vessels will call at Jacksonville’s Blount Island Terminal from 8 July. In January 2009, TNWA ships will relocate to the new TraPac Terminal in Jacksonville.
The TraPac terminal is capable of handling post-Panamax vessels. It offers access to major interstate highways and more than 100 truck terminals, enabling shippers to reach over 60% of the US within a short time frame.
Port rotation for the ESX is: Ningbo, Shanghai, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Balboa, Manzanillo, Panama, Jacksonville, Savannah, New York, Norfolk, Balboa and Ningbo.
